Since obtaining my diploma through OTC, this with my work experience,
has enabled me to become a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals.
I would thoroughly recommend the OTC training programme. The lectures
are easy to understand, well presented and convenient. Anyone wishing
to take the leap from secretary to fee earner, this is definitely the route to
take.
I cannot thank all those involved with OTC
enough for their help and enthusiasm.

It is very convenient doing the course from home and being still able to talk
live to our tutor and the recorded video lessons make it possible to listen to

managed to obtain a job with a lawyers that have taken me on as a
junior with a start salary of £16,000 which I have been told will
increase upon completion of this course.
I applied to all the lawyers telling them what my plans were and I
was fortunate to be offered a job with one of the biggest lawyers
in Gibraltar. I live in Spain and commute to Gibraltar which is only
about half hour away - so I live in one country and work in another.

legal secretary. I basically do different things from typing,
Immigration case work, attending court etc. It´s in a law firm in
Tottenham North London. I would like to know when I will get my
diploma, as I need it to show to my Employers. Thank you for

I have paid my course fee of £250.00 and the £25 resit fee. I don’t
wish to make anymore payment as I do not have a job and can’t

Firm. Previous to this I was a legal secretary with them for a couple of
years.

that an agency has passed my CV over to a firm of solicitors.
They havent any vacancies at the moment but the guy who
contacted me was so impressed with my CV he wants to meet me
when he returns from his over seas business trip. If he likes me in
person as much as on paper he will create a role for me! Fingers
crossed!

I took the 10 week legal secretary course in July of 1998. It covered bits of everything, conveyancing and litigation. I did
learn the forms and procedures for conveyancing as well, it actually came in very handy when I bought my house in
Northants!
I started working at Clyde & Co in London til end of October 99, when I went on mat leave. In 2001 we emigrated to Canada
and have been here ever since. I started working as an admin assistant but changed back to legal in 2002. I've been working
in corporate securities ever since.
When I first got here, because I didn't have a Canadian legal diploma, I was told that I likely would want to re-certify etc, but
then I was tested and haven't had any issues since.
I think that given how much of a fantastic teacher you are (I have to say, I did really enjoy the way you taught the subjects,
you made it make sense), it's wonderful that you can now help so many other students. Congratulations. If anyone should
ever want to contact me to ask directly, I'm fine with that too.
